1v1s to Decide Map Choices:

Set in Stone:
5 minute matches.
This is happening.


Open to Change:

There are two proposals regarding the amount of 1v1 games we will have:

#1: It could be one game to determine which team picks first.
#2: A separate 1v1 after each team game to determine who chooses the next map. Caveat here is that you can only use one player once. e.g.: if you have GKG on your team, he can only play one 1v1, not two.

A 1v1 for first pick is good enough... Alternating after. We don't need 3 hour matches.

if u aren't pre-choosing maps

then one 1v1 to see who picks first, then alternate

5 1v1s + 5 games is too much time

so obviously 1v1 needs to be played before the 2team games, does the 1v1 start at game time or something like 30 minutes prior to?

Does it need to happen at all? Nothing forbids the captains from simply agreeing to which maps prior to the match. Maybe they mean 1v1 if one captain objects to a pick.

some teams/players may prefer skipping the process entirely and forfeiting the right to a first pick.

It is a single 1v1 game prior to the match I presume, but then this begs the question of how is the 1v1 map to be chosen? And is it required to be standard lmoth 8 min settings?

Hopefully nobody complains much about the map choice for the 1v1, but I wouldn't bet on it. Maybe some default choice should be made in case both parties cannot agree to something else.

Yeah, we're going with a single game.

I do agree with you that a chosen map for the 1 v 1 would be a good idea.

I'll work on selecting one right now.

my playing was definitely a little more crisp back then due to more activity but there are a lot of errors in those games due to the new preset system that weren't present in say pre 2010 tirri
